For the MBA admission, the topmost colleges in India are IIMs, XLRI, FMS, IIFT, etc. Then second thing is the eligibility criteria required for MBA admission and the most important thing is that you must clear the entrance exam.
MBA Admission Process in India is similar for all the MBA colleges. Only the difference is the entrance exam acceptable for that particular college or institute. Here are some of them

Admission Process in IIMs
There are 20 IIMs and the admission process for all the IIMs open and close at the same time. There are 4 major steps for admission
1. Eligibility for MBA admission
Candidate should be a graduate with minimum 50% marks in any course from recognized university/institute to be eligible to enrol for MBA.
2. Apply and appear in CAT
Candidates have to apply online for CAT exam which is a necessary written test, scores of which are accepted by all IIMs. The notification of CAT exam is delivered by IIMs in July and the registration starts in august.
3. Shortlisting by IIMs
After appearing in CAT exam, you have to wait for the result. Mostly CAT result is declared in the first week of January and right after the result, IIMs declares the 1st list of shortlisted candidates. Many IIMs will shortlist candidates for final admission round only on the basis of CAT exam scores.
4. Final round
Selected candidates go in the final round of admission need to go through Writing Ability Test (WAT), Group Discussion and finally Personal Interview. If you are able to score high in your final selection and you are in the merit list of IIMs then you will get the admission letter from IIMs.
